Residential Organizing Services

Here are a few common responses when someone is asked to describe their disorganization:

I am a little overwhelmed and I have no time to declutter and organize. There may be a new transition in my life such as new baby, marriage, divorce, new job, and the situation has caused some disorganization.

I am very overwhelmed and disorganized because of a situation or illness.

I have been disorganized most of my life or for a long period of time. People have helped me in the past to "get organized" but it never stays that way.

One of the greatest gifts you can give to anyone is the gift of attention...

Sometimes people are disorganized because life gets in the way.

The Process

If you are ready to start, I can help you create a plan to get organized and help you with any part of your home from basement to attic.

How I Will Help You Get Organized...

It starts with a phone conversation. I want to find out about your situation and ask you some questions. After an initial phone conversation, a consultation is arranged and done at your home. During the consultation and the subsequent working sessions, we will:
  • Meet with you in the space to be organized to make an assessment.
  • Make a plan about how we will proceed with getting you de-cluttered and organized.
  • Sort through your things with you and help you decide what you really want in your home, office, and your life.
  • Simplify your life by reducing the amount of clutter.
  • Help you decide if unwanted items can be donated or should they be discarded.
  • Provide resources on where to donate items.
  • Provide you with information about Ebay sellers, antique dealers, estate sale, and consignment stores.
  • Provide you with a personalized system of organization that works for you.
  • Use items already available in your home or provide you with a list of organizing items to purchase.
  • Organize items remaining.
  • Services delivered in a non-judgmental manner.

How are Organizing Services Delivered?

After an initial phone conversation, a consultation is arranged and done at your home. It takes about an hour. After the consultation, sessions are scheduled to work with you to accomplish the work. These sessions are 4--8 hours each, and are usually delivered by a team of two.

Maintenance

After organizing sessions are finished, some people need a little extra help from time to time to stay on track and keep organized. A maintenance schedule is available for those that need them. Maintenance sessions can be schedule every few weeks, monthly, or any other time frame that would work for your personal situation.
